Overview

This Privacy Policy applies to the WORMGATE Android game, its online services at api.wormg.com, and related support services operated by K888 (collectively, “WORMGATE,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By using WORMGATE, you understand that the game needs certain account, gameplay, device, security, and transaction information to provide online features, protect accounts, preserve progression, operate multiplayer matches, prevent fraud, and support purchases.

Information we collect

Google sign-in and account information

WORMGATE uses Google Credential Manager for sign-in. Google may provide an identity token containing a Google account identifier, profile name, and email address. We use the token to verify that the sign-in is valid. The WORMGATE account database stores the Google provider’s unique account identifier, your WORMGATE account ID, support ID, and Callsign. We do not intentionally store your Google email address as part of your public WORMGATE profile, and your email address is not shown to other players.

Gameplay and progression information

We store information needed to run and restore your game account, such as pilot and ship levels, experience points, skill allocations, unlocked ships, modules, cosmetics, Space Coin balance and ledger entries, campaign progress, mission results, ranked rating, matchmaking activity, match and raid participation, rewards, and account revision history.

Device, app, and security information

To protect accounts and verify authentic Play-distributed builds, we may collect an installation identifier, Android platform, device manufacturer/model label, app version and version code, package name, signing-certificate digest, session information, Play Integrity challenges and verdict information, and device first-seen, last-seen, or revocation status. Our hosting and security systems may also process IP addresses and basic request metadata when you connect to the service.

Purchase and entitlement information

If you purchase Space Coins, Google Play processes your payment. We may receive and store the product identifier, order identifier, purchase state, quantity, purchase-token hash, obfuscated account binding, purchase time, acknowledgement status, refund or revocation status, and the resulting WORMGATE entitlement or wallet entry. K888 does not receive or store your complete credit-card or bank-account details.

Operational and diagnostic information

WORMGATE may send a limited, allowlisted set of operational events, such as app start, app version, queue state, match connection or reconnection, background/resume duration, report submission, and accessibility preference values. These events are used to measure service reliability and are designed to reject email addresses and unrestricted free-form personal fields.

Safety, support, and deletion information

When you use player-safety or support features, we may store player reports, support codes, mute/block relationships, account status, support communications, and account-deletion request status. Please do not send passwords, recovery codes, Google identity tokens, purchase tokens, or other secrets in a support message.

How we use information

• Authenticate users and protect WORMGATE accounts.
• Save and synchronize progression, Space Coins, purchases, equipment, campaign results, and player settings.
• Provide matchmaking, multiplayer, co-op raids, leaderboards, account recovery, and player lookup features.
• Verify Google Play purchases and restore or revoke entitlements when appropriate.
• Detect cheating, tampering, abuse, fraud, service attacks, and unauthorized builds.
• Diagnose crashes, connection failures, matchmaking problems, and performance issues.
• Respond to support, safety, legal, and account-deletion requests.
• Comply with applicable law and enforce WORMGATE rules.

How information is shared

We do not sell personal information. We may share or allow processing of limited information in these circumstances:

• Google services: Google Credential Manager, Google Play Integrity, and Google Play Billing process information needed for sign-in, app verification, and purchases under Google’s own terms and privacy practices.
• Service providers: cloud hosting, database, network, security, and support providers may process data only as needed to operate WORMGATE for us.
• Other players: your Callsign, selected ship, pilot level, multiplayer status, and game results may be visible to other players. Your Google email address is not displayed as your public identity.
• Legal and safety reasons: we may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect users, investigate fraud or abuse, or defend legal rights.
• Business transfer: information may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of the game or its assets, subject to this policy and applicable law.

Data retention

We keep account and gameplay data while your WORMGATE account is active and as needed to provide the service. Session and security records are retained for the period needed to protect accounts, investigate abuse, and maintain service integrity.

After account deletion, we will delete or irreversibly anonymize account-associated data except for limited information that we must retain for legitimate legal, accounting, transaction, dispute, fraud-prevention, or security purposes. For example, we may retain a purchase record, token hash, order reference, or deletion audit record when necessary to prevent duplicate grants, process refunds, document compliance, or meet legal obligations. Retained information is restricted to those purposes and is not used for advertising.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. These include encrypted HTTPS connections, hashed authentication and recovery credentials, server-authoritative progression and purchase verification, access controls, device/session revocation, and integrity checks. No system can guarantee absolute security, so you should protect your Google account and WORMGATE recovery information.

Children’s privacy

WORMGATE is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information to WORMGATE, contact us so we can investigate and delete it as appropriate.

Your choices and rights

You may view certain account information in the game, change your Callsign when eligible, revoke recognized devices, sign out, request account deletion, or contact us about access, correction, deletion, or other privacy rights. Rights vary by location, and we may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

You can manage Google account and Google Play information through the controls provided by Google. You may also stop future collection by discontinuing use of WORMGATE, though uninstalling alone does not delete server-side account data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when WORMGATE features, service providers, legal requirements, or data practices change. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated in the game or through the Google Play listing.
